Site information settings

Name

Enter the name of your site. On the theme settings there is a check box to show or hide the site name. It will show to the right of the logo or you can disable the logo and only the site name will show. The site name is also used in system emails and as the title of your RSS feed. It can be configured to show as your page title as well.

Email address

The From address in automated e-mails sent during user registration and new password requests, and other notifications. (Use an address ending in your site's domain to help prevent this e-mail being flagged as spam.)

Slogan

An optional setting to show a slogan or tag line below your site name. On the theme settings page there is a check box to show or hide this text.

Mission

You can skip this field. If you need to display a mission statement on your home page or all pages then it’s better to use a block. Blocks are explained under the Using blocks section.

Footer message

The footer message will display on every page of your site. Useful for adding a copyright message. If desired you can use html in this field to format your text, add links, etc…

Anonymous user

If an anonymous user posts comments on your site the comment will show as posted by the text you define here. Some people light heartedly use “Mysterious Person”, “Coward”, etc… Most people just leave this field as Anonymous.

Default front page

The default setting of /node will allow you to promote teasers or summaries of your content to your home page. If you don’t want to promote teasers to your home page you can create a page and then put the url here and that page will become your front page also known as a home page.
